We had the pleasure of staying at Silly Chickens Lodge on our wedding night six years ago, and we recently revisited this charming place. To our delight, it's just as magical as we remember. The ambiance is truly special, setting the perfect romantic mood. John and Karen, the hosts, are consistently warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. One piece of advice – don't forget to RSVP for breakfast; you won't want to miss it. Silly Chickens Lodge holds a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning for more cherished memories.

We loved our stay in the Nest Cottage at Silly Chickens Lodge. Karen and John were lovely hosts and cooked us delicious and fresh breakfast each morning. We especially enjoyed the chickens, the scenery, and their pets, too. The lodge is in a convenient location to Mooresville and Davidson but also provides a nice rural escape.

Stayed here recently in the cottage celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and checking out some local property. We had a wonderful stay. Karen and John were very gracious hosts and made some special accommodations for our stay which was much appreciated. And the hot breakfast served was very delicious alongside their wonderful company! They have a beautiful property and home, lovely silly chickens and the friendliest cat and dog. We felt very at home. We'll definitely be back when out this way again!

This is a rustic, hidden escape to get out of traffic and the city! Not TOO far away but serene, quiet and well cared for. No details are over looked and the hosts make sure comfort and quality are their top priority!

Great place to stay! Rooms are extremely comfortable, owners are genuine people who want to make their guest feels at home. Breakfast is made with fresh eggs from their own chickens that graze in the yard and live in the coop next to the house. We have stayed there multiple times and would recommend staying there.

Wow what an awesome B&B. I have stayed here several times and it’s always comfortable and so cozy and homey feeling. The chickens are definitely silly, especially the rooster. His name is Buddy and he actually marches. Have you ever seen a rooster march it is the funniest thing. The hands are all friendly and they actually meander around you if you’re inside their pen. They have a friendly fat cat named Bella and she’s super sweet if you sit she will sit on you. Their dog Yogi is super friendly also. They serve an awesome breakfast fresh off the grill to anyone that wants to eat. Karen and John are super host and I can call him nothing but that. A senior couple just trying to get through life and Making meat it’s not an easy task, But they certainly have it going on in their Airbnb. The scaler room attached to the Airbnb is such an awesome bonus. If you don’t know what that is do a little research and find out. We love the silly chicken lodge and we always stay here when we come to Mooresville.
